Ignoring, while realising the consequences
Is absurd, and maybe because of a curse

Terrorists are becoming more powerful everyday
It's news, that's not at all new
Is it because most nations look the other way
And to handle the problem, there are very few?

They are deadlier & bolder as the days go by
They spread their violence across nations
They are enlarging their arena of war
By hitting soft targets, in everyday situations

Bus-stations, airports, sports-stadiums etc.
Where ordinary people go everyday
Or at places of worship
Where people  go to pray

They are deadlier, when they can't fight back
They try to hurt, where it hurts the most
Civilians & civilized, what the armies protect
They try to hurt the utmost

Many nations are ignoring this reality
They feel they are safe and sound
But their reality is only true
Till the terrorists come around

We have to act now
If we don't, it's a crime
We have to eradicate them now
We are running out of time

It's time to wake up
It's time to realize
Recognising our present
Is only wise

Only then we will be able to
Do what is correct and wise
If we don't
We will, keep heading for, a demise

Our claims of being civilized socities, it has shamed
Young innocent kids have died

What did?
This mad act achieve
It only left non-entities
To suffer & grieve

The blast outside the Ice-cream parlour in Baghdad
Was the same
The IS are, for sure dictating
The rules of madness, the war game

Is there any way to cure them?
For certain there are none
Eradicating them is the only solution
Then the job is done

To usher in an era

To cultivate a future
